That or don’t make appointments you’re not going to keep. You’re not wasting your own time being on time to your own appointment that you made.

That’s not at all how time works.
If a doctor has 1 hour appointments, scheduled on the hour, and everyone is 5 minutes late, the schedule is now every hour on the :05.
Your 9:00 arrives at 9:05 and runs to 10:05, but that’s fine because your 10:00 is 5 minutes late, so they’re now on time. It’s not cumulative at all.
