I legit still have my books from when I was a kid. Berenstien.
My friend also has their books from when they were a kid. Berenstain.
We argued about it off and on for like a decade before we finally settled it.
We only have one book in common, a halloween one, but other than that we have no idea what happened.
They were printed in different years, but why would that matter??? IDK, it is a mystery.
I could really use a picture of both books, preferably together (but either way). It would really help me talk to my neighbor who brings up the Mandela effect at least 5x per year.
I’ll see if I can track her down. She moved to the UK for university about 6 years ago, but I doubt she brought all her childhood stuff with her(her whole family is still in southern California).
My stuff is in storage near Washington at the moment, but I should be going up there before December to nab some stuff.
I bet the photos we took are in those boxes too xD
Hahaha, I doubt anyone would want to buy my old childhood books. They’re covered in dragon ball stickers, drawn on, stained with various foods and drinks… over all I was not very respectful of my books when I was 7 xD
The internet fame would be nice though! Maybe, I hear that backfires for a lot of people lol
Well, I’m setting a calendar reminder for every day I’ll be in Washington this December to hit the storage unit on the way back. Gotta grab my old laptop and external hard drive anyway so why not!
Have you ever met someone who is obsessed with the supposed Mandela Effect? I’m not kidding when I say I have to listen to this monthly. I’m sure my generally sane neighbor isnt an outlier; these people are seriously obsessed.
It might be more fun for me if I were a few years older, but most of the examples are from before my time by a few years. Regardless, there’s only so many times I can hear about the Berenst**n Bears before I start a neighborhood Gofund Me to buy your books off ebay so we can all have some peace at the next block party lmao.
Occam’s razor suggests that it can’t possibly be the fact that -stein is a much more common name ending and since it’s children’s media most people will have last read the name while still a child and likely never realize that it was specifically a, therefore misremembering the name assuming it was an e. look how long it even took me to type. convoluted, complex theory.
rather the answer must be the simplest: a break in the spacetime continuum.
It’s the Mandela effect; People remember it as the Bearenstein Bears, but it’s Bearenstain and it doesn’t feel right. I want to go back to my 'verse
It actually is just Berenstein and everyone else in the world just has a shit memory and bootleg merchandise

You’ll be internet famous if you manage to get a photo! You might also get rich on ebay if you sell them as a pack.
And, really, you’ll help me win my lovely neighborhood back from the same repetitive conversation, hah.
