I’m just happy that Daniel Radcliffe will be returning as Frodo.
When are they going to do something with the first age? Morgoth and his dragons? The singing that created the world? The dragons Morgoth created? So much cool shit a good writing team could good thing with.
good writing team is the tricky part. you’d think there are good writers all over hollywood but clearly it’s not that simple with all the shit movies out there.
Unless it’s a cameo at the beginning or end, I’m not really sure what role Frodo possibly has to play in this. Unless we’re going to get scenes of Frodo… Living a totally normal life at Bag End?

Surprised Ian McKellen would want to come back after his breakdown from all the green screen shit in The Hobbit movies. Maybe he’s more used to it given that’s basically Hollywood now.
Iirc it wasn’t the use of greenscreens itself that was the issue, but that he had to do the scenes without the other actors present.
Wasn’t that because it was filmed with 3D cameras though? So they couldn’t use the tricks they used in the LotR films. Forced perspective shots and such.
I’ve just rewatched the films and hope this turns out to be a decent companion piece.
