I didn’t downvote, but I can assume the reason is that other sources like the one you just affirmed had already been posted in this thread by the time you asked. It was likely interpreted as disingenuous.
That’s not what is being reported.
Maxwell collected letters from Trump and dozens of Epstein’s other associates for a 2003 birthday album, according to documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
The letter bearing Trump’s name, which was reviewed by the Journal, is bawdy—like others in the album.
A birthday card to a ‘terrific guy’ who likes beautiful women as much as Trump does, many of them on the younger side.. Just besties celebrating a 50th birthday and reminiscing about all the fun they’ve had together.
The WSJ first broke the story on Thursday. However, it didn’t include an image of the card, only the text and a description. From all the sources I’ve seen, the original image has not been released. It is possible that someone only leaked a written report to the WSJ and they dont even have a photo of it. I suspect all these photos are fake, but since Trump will likely sue for defamation, I don’t believe this story would have been published without a high certainty of the text’s authenticity.
Oh, interesting. I don’t watch a lot of politics media, mostly just Breaking Points, so I haven’t seen her on any other platform. I’ll look out for her appearances on other shows. Thanks for the insight!
Heck yeah, Breaking Points is awesome! I especially like the episodes hosted by Ryan and Emily.
Good question. I’m honestly not sure. You have a good point about screen readers, so I think the way you have it would be preferred by those who need the text. Alternatively, I’ve seen “[sic]” used to indicate that text is reproduced exactly as it originally appeared, including errors. However, I’m not sure if that would help screen readers in any way.
I was only pointing it out because it seemed fun to claim “worht” was in any way correct. Also, I always wondered if the alt text was manually entered or if some AI/ML generated it from the submitted photo. Thanks for clearing that up for me!
Hmm, looks like there’s a typo in the alt text. It’s supposed to be worht.
I’m still rocking a 7-year-old Galaxy S9+. A few years ago my headphone jack wore out and the gapped hole no longer retains my earbud cable. Since then, I’ve been using a USB-C adapter, but the combined earbud and charging use is starting to take it’s toll and the port is beginning to feel loose.
Adapter use seems more abusive to the USB port than just charging, as it occurs when the phone may be in a tight place (like a pocket), with torque applied to the adapter body. I’m convinced that if I was limited to USB-only over the full life of this phone, I would have lost wired headphone and wired charging capability a long time ago.
It sounds like you might like Logsec. I use it for general note-keeping, but I think it would work really well as a journal because it defaults to a new time-stamped entry when you open it. These entries are presented chronology like a journal, and you can create links to other pages if you want to dive further into a specific topic.
Also, all entries are saved as standard markdown files, so they would be easy to adapt to another software later if needed. This also makes it really easy to sync data between devices with something like Syncthing.
If you like Obsidian and want open source, check out Logsec.
Sure, here’s the same link posted elsewhere in the comments: https://imgur.com/a/z3J25EB
There’s no confrontation in the video. The open-carrier was walking calmly and not even facing the “peacekeepers” while they were aiming their pistols at him and into the crowd. The open-carrier doesn’t start running until shots ring out, and appears just as surprised as everyone else. This “peacekeeper” should definitely be charged for endangering the lives in that crowd, if not for manslaughter.
The only people brandishing in the video are the self-described “peacekeepers” who are aiming their pistols into the crowd. The open-carrier isn’t even looking their way and appears just as surprised as everyone else when one of these peacekeepers starts blasting (with minimal awareness or concern for whomever else was downrange).
It’s being reported that Arturo is an activist who regularly open-carries in support at protests. Meanwhile you’re making confidently incorrect claims that he is a conservative traitor and terrorist. Stay classy.
who do you think is funding Hamas?
I can’t recall ever seeing a single profile pic on Lemmy. Even when clicking on a username, all I see are posts, no profile. I honestly didn’t even know there was a profile to edit. I’m primarily on Voyager.
No downvotes from me; just adding my experience to the conversation.
I’d say its more akin to restricting muffler use on cars. Instead, we usually place upper limits on how loud a car’s exhaust can be. Hearing protection is important and muffler/suppressor use should be encouraged.
