I’d bet there are plenty of girls out there who can be a great loving partner and also make you feel like a loser when you want it. Instead of hiding your kink and trying to push it down, find a partner who likes you and your kink.

Technically speaking, those bodies were used for science. Just they were used for military science, not health sciences.
The morgue bodies may not have as high quality of organs or may not match genetically. If a billionaire puts a bounty on a liver that fits them genetically and has barely been abused, someone is going to be looking to cash in.
Some doctors and scientists are really fucked up and value their experiements over human life. If bodies become a resource they can claim, some patients may not get the care they deserve because the body would be valuable to their studies and experiments.
There is also concerns for the organ market.
Culturally, humans have long standing and many unique traditions for caring for their dead. Someone and their remaining family should not be denied their funeral rights because science wants their body.
A better option would be increasing the amount of awareness for these programs so that people willing to donate their body or organs are informed of their existence and goals and can choose to donate.

Sometimes they get paid more if they do come in, typically time and a half, so they feel like they are missing out if they don’t. Sometimes is based on if they are full time or not. The same rhetoric is true for just regular weekends, my boss considers anyone who works less than 6 days a week unmotivated and lazy.
I find its more often they need those hours to afford to live. Sometimes due to poor life choices like owning 5 dirtbikes that don’t run and buying a 6th, but often its just due to how unfair the economy is to low income families.

Do you have a source for those numbers? Id be surprised if the fuel +registration taxes cover even 1/3 of the cost of roads. Maybe they could cover basic maintaince like painting, plowing, and potholes, but initial construction or resurfacing likely needs heavy investment from elsewhere
Edit: i see the OP does have a source for tax revenue numbers, but it is unclear exactly what is covered under the taxes. Does it include funds for police for traffic enforcement? Funding for emergency services responding to accidents? The site isn’t clear if new road construction or lane widening is included in the budgets as road maintaince or not.
The point being made isnt that roads aren’t worth the investment, its more so that everyone pays for roads regardless of the amount of use they get out of them, but that same investment into cycling paths, bus lanes, or trains is viewed as “government subsidies” or “wasting money on infrastructure that won’t be used by drivers”.
Most automated camera tickets for buses, red lights, or speeding only result in municipal fines and no insurance complications. The camera can reliably get the lisence plate but the tech and bureaucracy isn’t ready to prove who was driving each car.
Comparing self driving cars to American driving standards is kinda a moot point because the american safety standards are so low that death and injury is considered the cost of doing business.
I’d be curious to see how well waymo performs compared to a country with far safer road designs and drivers that are better trained and respect rules of the road more frequently.
People feel unsafe doing double the limit on a highway. The unsafe feeling is thrilling for some.
Y’all are bitching cops shouldn’t be allowed to enforce speed limits, we have a modern solution that is often deployed in areas with high pedestrian injury rates and you’re calling it some mass surveillance state.
The internet is doing far worse things to your privacy than a speed camera. Dont trust them? Your city probably has a map of them on their website. Dont drive or walk that specific spot.
Yea the whole “gotcha” of exceeding a posted speed limit in area where a sign often warns you a camera is checking your speed in a position the municipality will often publicly announce its presence. Real gotcha moment.
We still need both. Even the safest design of a road could still let someone drive recklessly and dangerously.
Public safety is the goal. Some people don’t learn to follow speed limits and do full stops at reds or other road rules until they have had a consequence from it. I’d rather they learn that lesson through a speeding ticket than accidental manslaughter of a pedestrian.
Unmarked cruisers gives a cop a more unbiased view of the reality of traffic flow/conditions than a marked cruiser cause most drivers will notice a marked cruiser and drive accordingly. Ultimately road safety is many many factors, but i believe enforcement of the rules is one of them.
Just look at the pushback against automated speed cameras, even the ones in school zones often get vanadalized. Many drivers only give a shit about a speed limit because of fines and their insurance costs.
Drivers will slow down an behave when they see a marked cruiser. For traffic enforcement i don’t mind undercover cruisers.
Your final sentence has pretty much been american military policy for the last few decades.
Don’t start a major global conflict and kill mostly brown people of a different culuture and religion and we will get away with it.
