I seriously doubt that will happen. The current administration has shown zero indication that they give two fucks about what the people want.

Depending on what your job is, you may never even meet the rich person you work for.

If you want to play the blame game, the blame falls on everyone. The right is pushing to make things actively worse, the center is willing to just put up with whatever the current status quo is, and the left would rather spend all their time attacking one another for being the wrong brand of left, rather than actually go out and do something productive.

Because why worry about something that isn’t going to happen?

I’d be more concerned about another American civil war than WWIII. There’s not enough allies on Iran’s side. Russia can’t even deal with Ukraine, let alone a direct conflict with NATO. China isn’t likely to get directly involved either, since there’s no real incentive for them at this point.

Someone has to provide proof for the answers to obvious questions, if for no other reason than to short circuit the “SoUrCe?” clowns.

Again, being aware of your own limitations and doing what you can is preferable to faking it, and falling apart when it counts.

If you read the rest of the article, she addresses that. She doesn’t believe that she is personally brave enough to physically confront what is coming, so for her, the choice is get out now while she can and be vocal.

The scary part is that there absolutely is logic to it. They’re still just slightly short of being willing to say that part out loud.

I feel like 9/11 was the inflection point. The great recession was just another symptom of the problem. Banks can’t get overwhelmed by underwater mortgages if people aren’t underwater in the first place.

The other side of the coin is that customers aren’t obligated to buy. There’s always a limit to how expensive you can make a product/service before people will simply stop paying for it. Trying to find that balance point can be damned difficult.
