There’s nothing wrong with pressuring your loved ones a bit - especially as a parent. I read it in a loving, paternal tone rather than a demanding, controlling one. Of course, if it was literal it’d be problematic.

The other day I was told that “finally Trump is fixing this shit” and that “tariffs are the price for doing business” and that I “have to pay them and can no longer freeload by spending money on healthcare”. Didn’t get an answer when I asked if he even knows how tariffs work and why it could possibly be that USA spends more money on healthcare per capita than any other nation in the world

Many places in Europe are wonderful. Generally speaking I think you’re quite fine when it comes to LGBT rights, especially in the Western countries, and metros and public transportation in general are commonplace, but I wouldn’t expect free internet and freedom of expression to be around in a handful years.
I’d expect it to be cracked down entirely within the next 2-3 years. The EU has wet dreams of absolute control
The SVM government as a whole is huge on expanding surveillance and the police force - I don’t see that it’s just a small group of activists within the parties. I’m just glad other EU countries aren’t biting on this bs
Unless you live under a rock you do see some increased support for Palestine even amongst Western governments. A part of that is that it’s very clear that a majority of the common people are in support of Palestine and ending genocide. And no, this is not because Macron or any other politician actually cares, but the more noise you make the more they have to react to it and adapt. If nothing else it shows the world that not every Western citizen is a fan of Apartheid and genocide. The Israeli government doesn’t care about a protest in Australia but if the Australian government starts reacting to it it can work to isolate Israel globally - and unlike Russia, who has other friends, Israel really doesn’t.
It’s not “Danish activists” but rather the government. As a Dane I know how horny these people are to create a fullblown police/nanny state. SVM (the name for the government) is terrible for all of us. Can’t wait to see their voter share drastically diminish at the next election, but clearly they can do a lot of harm first…
