They do have the emergency access feature yeah, I’d still put the password in a physical document somewhere though just as a backup.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen this, is your new device Xiaomi as well?
90C is fine, more important is the core speed and if it’s throttling heavily which will impact performance.
If it’s been several years it’s also possible the thermal paste is not working as well anymore and needs to be replaced.
When I try using the https://<IP_ADDRESS_OF_YOUR_PI_HOLE>/admin/ I get search results to access my router login.
Something is very wrong if you’re getting search results, maybe try a different browser?
Checked downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it looks like pi.hole is down.
The PiHole website is https://pi-hole.net/ is that what you meant to check?
You can’t check local private domains like pi.hole using a public service.
Password manager such as Bitwarden, you can store your passwords, and sensitive info as notes or attachments. It’s all encrypted client side.
Then you just need to have a note with the master password and instructions on how to access it.
The problem is how do I get my history and everything on desktop and android TV then, does it sync with other apps or my google account or something like that?
You need to learn some Docker stuff initially for sure, but the underlying OS can be anything including Windows which is why Docker is nice.
The database for Mealie is part of the app already and is handled automatically, with the SQLite docker-compose file they provide.
The phones hotspot will bypass the VPN, so you’ll need to run it directly on the device.
Before step 2 did you cd
to the new folder the git clone created?
Most of the stuff I run on my server is just a basic docker-compose.yaml
file and it’s up and running in a minute or two. Some random examples:
Most things are super easy, like 2-5 minutes of set up and it’s running and working.
It’s gonna be like 100 years before Matrix and the clients are in a good place at this rate. It only seems to be getting worse right now with more fragmented clients and servers with more and more spam issues, and the performance just keeps getting worse too.
Even their very own Element app is being retired and replaced by Element X which is missing a ton of features.
They still don’t have any of the features people coming from Discord/TS/Mumble are expecting like voice chat rooms, push to talk, or streaming to a room. They don’t have the features Telegram users are expecting like stickers, threads inside groups, read only channels, and so on…
The vast majority of users have no reason to switch since it’s nothing like the apps they are used to. And it’s buggy and slow on top of that.
Don’t get your hopes up, I deleted my account on matrix.org because of that same spam, and there’s no way to mass ignore invites to the hundreds of rooms from all the spam accounts they let run rampant.
Problem is then you miss important info, for example if friends are talking about a game server they’re running and post the connection details, or if they plan an event with a location and time to meet, if you don’t have a bouncer and were offline then you can’t see those messages.
TBH I just use youtube.com in my browser (Floorp/Firefox) with uBlock Origin. With SmartTube on my TV.
The alternative front ends or apps don’t seem to support loading my watch history, playlists, or subscriptions, and they don’t sync between my devices even if I manually import stuff. Making usability an absolute nightmare.
Likely more efficient use of spectrum, which means more clients on a tower without everything grinding to a halt.
A lot of people don’t realize that you don’t need an app for most things, so I figured I’d mention it anyways.
Blocking a vehicle from going the wrong way and potentially hurting someone is not the same as blocking someone for no reason.
The guy in a Mercedes who is breaking the law because he’s an angry asshole just needs to be stopped.
It should work fine in a browser or as a PWA
Discord is what people like and are used to though. If you want the average user to switch it needs to be somewhat familiar.
It’s a heavily limited free tier to promote their paid offering, in this case I don’t think that phrase is accurate.
