They want an excuse to implement martial law.

If this happens then they have all the reason to bypass all due process and just oppress everyone.

They want it to go this way. They wanted the National guard to get involved in California’s “riots”. They are looking for the excuse to throw out the courts, the house, the Senate, the supreme Court… Literally everyone from any say in what happens or any ability to overturn, stop or otherwise impede their ability to control everyone and everything.

The fucking boot licker repubtards are making sure that it happens, and they’ll act like so many others, shocked, when they end up under the boot of the people they voted for.

As an outsider looking in, this reality is extremely obvious to me. Is it somehow not clear to Americans?

  • Maybe, but he had already spun the fake news narrative to his deciples, so it was easy for them to hand wave all of the convictions away as fake news based on absolutely no evidence.

Given the relative intelligence of each set of followers, I’m not surprised that they could do the mental gymnastics to disregard such a verdict.

Meanwhile, I’m not even sure Gaiman has been convicted, but he’s being treated like he’s guilty by the public, so here we are.

I just haven’t bothered to keep up to date with his situation because, though I previously enjoyed things with his name attached, I’ve never been “a fan” so to speak, of the man himself. I neither liked, nor disliked him. Now I have reasons to dislike him. IDK. I’m just some guy.

You see, the difference is… Supporting Gaiman makes you seem like a rape enabler… And anything related to rape is bad.

You want to discriminate against gay/trans/black/brown people? It might be distasteful, but it’s not universally considered bad. There’s lots of people out there willing to vote a Nazi into the white house and cheer him on as he breaks the law to deport anyone and everyone he wants to just because they’re “not from here” (or they think they’re “not from here”).

See, they’re not the same thing.

  • That’s valid. It’s also part of why I don’t like capitalism. Once an entity becomes large enough, it has the capability to absorb all other businesses in its sector, and often transcend sectors and absorb all competition from that sector as well.

If a company were motivated enough they could essentially buy all other companies and essentially run everything (probably right into the ground).

    Yay capitalism.

  • That quote is funny because the statement is clearly indicating that they are pro-choice.

In business though, workers are not often given a choice. You either work from the office, work x days in office and y days from home (hybrid), or only work from home.

90% of the employers that I am aware of, give one of these, maybe two (usually in office and hybrid) as options; usually only one option (in office). A few wfh companies I’ve worked for do all wfh, which is great for me, but anyone who wants to work from an office, can’t.

By giving workers a real choice, you open the company up to a much larger pool of people who are willing/able to do the job. If they’re local to an office and want to be in office, cool, set it up. If they’re not but they prefer wfh, cool, set it up.

In my experience nearly zero employers provide flexible work options. It’s usually one of the three, and if you’re lucky, two of the three. It is exceedingly rare to be given all three choices.
