  • Break your project down into bite size goals. With rewards.

Start with cleaning the bathroom. Take a nice long bath after.

Focus on the rubbish in your bedroom, go for a small walk to the variety store. (Consider having a monster drink)

When you come home focus on loose clothing on the floor. Put them in the wash.

Carry on this routine. If you trust yourself not to be too distracted play some old DVDs in the background.

Carry on with this pattern, doesn’t need to be all in the same day.

Did you do the dishes yet?

  • I had a pretty extreme fear of driving and I went through therapy (CBT & medicines) to cope with my ability to pay attention and my anxieties about safety.

I was denied job after job for not having a license. Told it was more important than a high-school diploma even when the job had nothing to do with travel.

Seek out a qualified professional, your insurance may even be capable of helping here if you sell them on the idea its for coping with the accident you just experienced.

  • Always depends upon the setting and people involved.

Your traditional romantic dinner is almost certainly going to involve wine. (In a stereotypical western culture setting)

My dates have typically been in a more casual environment. Being invited to parties (alcohol or more), movie theaters (typical movie house snacks), Beach (cooler of water bottles, pop, light snacks, or whatever is available there)

DO NOT push your date to drink or do anything they aren’t comfortable with.

    Informed consent is key.

We are all people trying to make it on this blue marble. Don’t leave it worse than how you found it.
