  • Like, the edit button doesn’t appear? Or it does, but clicking it doesn’t change the post/comment into an editable field? Or it does but hitting “save” does nothing? Or it appears to save, but refreshing the page still shows the old content? Or does it give you an error message? Or what?

In my experience, I will say Lemmy-UI isn’t the best about displaying errors to the user. Like, sometimes things go wrong and it doesn’t tell you something went wrong. It just acts like you never hit the button. If I were you, I’d look around in developer tools. Hit F12 to get into it, go to the network tab, try to edit a post, and theoretically something should show up red in the network tab. Maybe click on the red thing, poke around, and see if you can find an error message either in the response body or in a response header or something. If that doesn’t work, retry while in the console tab and see if any useful message comes up there.

If you get any sort of error message, definitely feel free to post it in this thread. Someone might have an idea what to do.

One warning: posting the wrong sort of data from Developer Tools can compromise your account. So I’d recommend against posting screenshots of your Developer Tools window. Probably pasting only human-readable text (as text, not in a screenshot) would be best.

Godspeed, OP. Hope we can help you out.

Oh dear. I do hope Putin never figures out how much the U.S. would be divided and weakened on the world stage by the release of such material as that. Releasing those files seems like exactly the sort of dastardly thing Russia might do to overthrow America from its position of having its boot on Russia’s neck and preventing the glorious U.S.S.R. from reforming.

    (Sarcasm, if it’s not clear.)

  • (Joke. I’m taking your wording overly literally and interpreting your post to mean that you’re complaining that you’re seeing literal ass(es) all over both platforms. I might also be subtlely implying that you’re confused as to why for additional comedic effect. I’m, again jokingly, suggesting that turning off NSFW content would give you vastly fewer literal images/videos of ass(es).)

  • For me, early 2000s contemporary Christian music.

I wasn’t allowed to listen to secular music. So I made a lot of emotional connections to contemporary Christian music. Which is pretty cringe in retrospect. Whenever I’m reminded of it, I have a pretty conflicted set of emotions about it.

I usually only listen to that music that I listened to in my early teens when I feel like wallowing in self pity. But I can’t deny that I feel extremely nostalgic about it. It makes me wish I would have made those same emotional connections to music that wasn’t associated with really disturbing fundamentalist Christian ideologies and propaganda.
