But I guess my main thing is that I don’t believe perfection is attainable. All we can do is get close enough. We’re definitely not there yet, but I think we gotta keep taking steps in the right direction

I mean, I guess what I’m saying is if you can post to YouTube and get paid, why would you intentionally choose to post to PeerTube and not get paid?
I went the opposite way. Wanted to like KDE, but found it too buggy and a bit inconsistent.
On Gnome I use really minimal extensions and those get updated very quickly so it is no longer an issue for me. I also do Gnome Extension reviews so take from that what you will
I’m fine with it, since they pay my phone bill if I have it installed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I guess to me, that seems rather defensive. I don’t want to engage any more than I have to to extricate myself from the situation

If you hate everybody and everything, sure, stick to your guns. But there is nothing wrong with being a team player

I don’t want to kill anybody, but I’m not gonna just hand it over with a smile on my face.

I only use SponsorBlock because I do not use adblock. I pay for YT Premium, and YT Premium views are worth far more than ad-driven views. I don’t like paying for something and seeing ads so I skip sponsor spots

The CUPS daemon does not get killed during games. It wouldn’t be needed anyways

I’m a big fan of people being opinionated about things. If you want something a certain way, do it! That’s the beauty of the fediverse and open source in general. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to use my instance!
In-general, we work closely with the photon dev to maintain feature parity with the default frontend, and we also get some neat and useful moderation features too.
Second Valetudo. I’ve used it for years now on a Dreame L10 Pro. Thinking about upgrading to something with mopping capabilities but Valetudo support is a requirement for me from now on!
