The mining is how BTC, etc are decentralised & secure (so the idea of btc and mining are the same idea in my head).
dogs0n@sh.itjust.worksto Linux@lemmy.ml•According to Pornhub data (yes seriously!) Linux market share in 2024 increased more than 40% relative to 5.1% of all users.20·23 days agoThat’s all me ur welcome gais
Yeah idk if its nostalgia or wut.
In my head, the sales were much deeper like you say, but I could be wrong.
I also miss when the sale would start and there’d be a minigame or some type of event. They’ve really been streamlining a lot of stuff though I think to reduce network traffic maybe, or maybe they haven’t had the time for events when they are redesigning their whole client and steamos and stuff.
Has the refund process changed? From what I remember it has always been very easy to refund?

Even if it (ps4, ps5) is cheaper than a comparable PC, online access after a year or two would probably ruin all the savings.

dogs0n@sh.itjust.worksto Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Throw away your children’s future for an overpriced metal boxEnglish28·1 month agoCrazy how college is so expensive in the US that your parents gotta start saving 20 years in advance.
(Im guessing this is the US and also seeing this banner just gave me that thought)
dogs0n@sh.itjust.worksto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•Movies not starting when they are scheduled.English61·1 month agoIt’s fun to try guessing what brand the ad is for (up to a point). I hate when they tease me as if the movie is about to start and then start playing more ads instead.
Movie trailers are good though. Have seen some that I’d never have watched without seeing a trailer there.

If you say so.
dogs0n@sh.itjust.worksto Android@lemmy.world•It appears Google has stopped publishing device-specific source code for Pixel phonesEnglish1·1 month agoI don’t have a good answer. I would probably wait to see if this kills GrapheneOS (on pixel devices) or not, then use that info in my decision process.
dogs0n@sh.itjust.worksto Android@lemmy.world•It appears Google has stopped publishing device-specific source code for Pixel phonesEnglish1·1 month agoTerrible news ofc, but I hope no one panic buys a different phone or anything (assuming they already have one). This is just to say, your phone isn’t immediately obsoleted right now, so give it a little while before you switch anything out.
dogs0n@sh.itjust.workstoPolitical Memes@lemmy.world•Capitalism in theory vs capitalism in practice1·1 month agoI like how you say that. It made me deduce a thought of how everything we need should be socialized to some extent (or at least have superbly heavily regulated mandated processes and stuff), and the stuff we want can be provided through a “free market” (not to say the free market shouldnt be regulated, but it wouldnt need to be as strict as stuff/services that we need).
Healthcare & transportation being the most important things I can think of where the government should keep 100% of the controls.
You don’t know it didn’t suffer and he didn’t kill it so that he could eat it (I’m disagreeing with you on the “cognitive dissonance” thing).
Also im not sure if you are saying that you dont judge him for what he did or just saying youre not vegan, but doing as he did is judge worthy.
Yeah i hate when I see people using Brave, because they have been brainwashed.
Does anyone remember when they were injecting their own referral links into links for online stores (99% certain they did this pls prove wrong if you know better)? This alone leaves them with 0 trust in my books.
dogs0n@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is one moral you have that most people don't agree with?1·4 months agoIt’s interesting to me in the reverse, because it’s sort of how the food chain works, granted I do hate seeing the inhumane conditions in which a lot of animals for food are kept (if we were still cavemen it seems more ok than now because it’d be more of a fair match between us and our prey).
Also plants feel pain too (please also kill them humanely).
Have to agree with you. If every site just blocked the country with a stupid law like this, then the regular (regarded) folk that are gonna send over their ID the first chance they get will maybe log off their wank station and idk join the cause.
Saying that, at least ppl will be forced to use a vpn instead of sending their id through the internet if they dont comply and just block.
