@DrFistington Right, because that’s the only thing going on right now. So, what’s with the use of “you” and “we” here? You think I am bombing you? You are in Israel?
@faab64
Yeah I just hate that it isn’t properly encrypted or anything lol, the criticisms levied against it should be levied against western socials as well (recently there has been much fanfare from “cybersecurity” people). It’s the same way they draw a line between democracy and authoritarianism - it’s entirely defined by the freedom of Western capital
@palestine@lemmy.ml @palestine@a.gup.pe
@davel @palestine The network has been overtaken by Reddit powermods interested in hosting, botting, and burners with 3700 hateful replies. I had a very different view of tech libertarian leftism when I heard about it, or there would be no sentimentality.
I know they can’t moderate here by complaining, but it’s partly why the fedi has become an exercise in frustration. It’s not like it can crash, but I’m waiting for its next era.
@davel @Xande @palestine No offense, because it is in a way a noble effort, but the Lemmy network (it’s a bit more tucked away even if it is ActivityPub) is pretty fucked. There are dudes citing the Anti-Defamation League to discredit sources in my replies. I’m sure they never question the papers that sold them the Iraq War!
@Xande @geneva_convenience @palestine Lol, the more serious issue is you are saying it on a Zionist instance hosted in Germany that has tried to softpedal this issue before but will absolutely ban you.
@billwashere @faab64 @palestine Don’t you think it would be understating the inhumane products of white supremacy and imperialism
@Anomalocaris @palestine @technocrit I think it’s a pretty tertiary issue reminiscent of TMZ type journalism and I never saw much about it on the pro-AoR side. People like Bernie Sanders who try to relabel the genocide a “Netanyahu scandal” are useless because they don’t educate people about how geopolitics works or apply political pressure where it could make a difference (most US antiwar sentiment is this aimless).
@Amnesigenic @pelespirit Yeah I’m saying they’re both fascists but also that conservatism is liberalism. Western factions have a bunch of annoying terminology. Like “leftists” or “the left” being the dems to a lot of people. Or tje british labour party @palestine
@davel @pelespirit Disregard the other stuff I said, I thought they were being weird. I’m using my account through slash commands rn so I can’t edit or anything.
@pelespirit Oh lol I thought you were a Jill Stein supporter I misread that. Can you restate what exactly your problem is? I’d prefer you take the book recommendation and go be annoying to someone else.
@pelespirit Demonrats and rethuglicans must all be vanquished. Yeah Jill Stein’s pretty lame but I find I agree with you and other supporters on 90% of issues so it’s chill
@Pfeffy Go ahead and get cranky, then?
@pelespirit Please don’t engage in guesswork based on American political mythology. https://annas-archive.se/md5/67557b8f7b42be96aa9a10ef865fd1db
@pelespirit @AlexanderTheDead Neoconservatism is actually a branch of economic liberalism
@jollycooperation @palestine@lemmy.ml @palestine@a.gup.pe These are completely different methods of warfare. Terror bombing, propaganda, covert operations, concentrated smart bomb attacks, none of this is sufficient. Precision strikes on weapons and infrastructure are sufficient.
@crazyminner @Wakmrow A fair assessment. Lucky for them, they can all scurry back to Brooklyn and other places when Israel is made uninhabitable by infrastructure damage.
