I think that’s why I enjoyed Gone Girl. I didn’t have to like him and his smugness or whatever worked into the character.

It’s Chinese white alcohol with a fairly high alcohol content. The word itself is literally just the pinyin (aka the way to write Chinese words using an English keyboard) written out.

So “Bai” is white and “jiu” is alcohol.
