I use grayjay (android and I think desktop now too?), which works for most streaming services, such as PeerTube, YouTube, Nebula, etc. One app for all the things.
Mama told me not to come.
She said, that ain’t the way to have fun.

I would hate that case.
Yup, it’s pretty easy to set up, and since its runners are basically ripped from GitHub, you can piggy back of that documentation.
Monero is perhaps the best option imo. Here’s the official page about it, but basically:
It’s far from ubiquitous, but it’s popular enough that if a place accepts any crypto, there’s a good chance they accept Monero as well.
Yup, Monero is probably the best option. I’ve heard good things about Z-cash, and Bitcoin can work on the lightning network.
I’m talking about comments a few levels up the chain talking about overgeneralizations, as well as the very common loose language online where people attribute problems to the people of a nation rather than its leaders.
I have no issues with Chinese or Russian people, I have issues w/ their respective governments. Yet we get hate crimes against the people that come from a region just because their government did something stupid.
I’m pushing against his culture.
That sickness is the republican party. That sickness is the republican voter.
I disagree, and this just smacks of tribalism.
The problem is people wanting to force others into their worldview, parties are just a tool to get that done. The real solution is ending the two party system so people can express themselves better, not to replace one problem with another.
Which is really unfortunate. If you avoid the most popular coins (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc), you avoid most of the scams and speculation and end up with a decent currency that respects your privacy and has low fees.
Taler isn’t a general payment solution, it’s designed so that separate entities can have their own way to handle small transactions. For example, you attend a conference and deposit some cash into the event, and then you go and use those tokens to exhange for various stuff at the event, and the event organizers settle up with merchants after the event.
Rolling this out on a more global scale mea a you’d need some major institution, like a bank, to back the currency and handle settling up. AFAIK, this hasn’t happened anywhere and isn’t likely to happen because banks already have a system that works that requires far less effort: credit and debit cards.
We already have a solution here that has some market presence, and it’s cryptocurrency. Get some Monero and you can go buy stuff today without those transactions being public. The fees are minimal, transactions are fast, and merchants exist. The main issue is the negative public perception of cryptocurrencies, which is mostly due to speculation and bad actors running scams, but there are solid, proven currencies that can be useful as a cash alternative.
Cryptocurrency is the solution here, and unfortunately that’s an unpopular take here.
Not just any pedo, but a brain-rotted pedo.
Right, my point is that Visa shouldn’t care if an American is buying something that’s illegal in China, if the product is not allowed for sale in China.
Not in my state, and since we don’t have a national popular vote, the only thing that’s relevant for my vote is the spread in my state.
But they do for countries, when they say “Americans do X” when it’s just the administration doing it and it’s unpopular.
All those games you listed are violence centric, so I imagine the non-violent route isn’t as satisfying. I tried to finish Dishonored (not really an RPG) without violence, but most of abilities involve violence and getting caught just meant waiting for them to kill me instead of fighting back. The gameplay just isn’t optimized for it like something like Thief is.
There are games designed for non-violence where violence simply isn’t an option, such as Disco Elysium or WanderHome. Searching specifically for games without violence is probably a better option than finding games where nonviolence is an option, unless you’re specifically looking to find clever ways to play games non-traditionally.
That doesn’t make any sense, America and The US are both shortened versions of the full name of the country, and both largely refer to the government.
“Americans” refers to the people, “The Americans” to me is talking about the government again (depending on context), or its military or something.
So if someone says, “Americans want X,” I assume there are polls to back that up, whereas “The Americans want X” implies an official press release. At least that’s how I’ve used those terms.
It probably will return somewhat to normal, assuming public opinion continues on its trajectory. People overwhelmingly don’t like Trump, so anyone affiliated w/ him are going to hurt in the next couple elections unless public opinion turns around.
I don’t know what “normal” looks like, but it’s probably somewhere between Trump and Bush. I’m still not a fan, but moving away from Trump is going to be a net win.
What if they said employees of your company all support a thing? That would include you.
It’s absolutely insane to say all Americans support Trump when he has a net negative approval rating pretty much everywhere, including red states. Look at the opinion polls, most people don’t like what’s going on. Yet for some reason, people claim the majority of us like him for some reason.
Like what?
There’s not really anything I can reasonably do, other than sit tight and teach my kids how to be excellent people.
It’s pretty easy to switch between cryptocurrencies, so they can surely find an exchange that is friendly to their business. That’s way better than the credit card situation where there are only four major processors–Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express–and only two of those actually matter.
