That’s what happens if you use your money on MAGA instead of a defibrillator.

While we are at it: what is causing the sounds? And how often do those machines have to be calibrated, as I believe the RF receivers (?) have to be super sensitive and accurate.

No one was even remotely talking about driving over unprotected panels. That’s just a weird imagination in your head. Instead of doing that, you could just invest a couple of minutes into reading what is getting tested already.

zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.comto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Solar powered personal umbrella with battery?English11·5 days agoThere is nothing absurd about it. Every surface, which is constantly exposed to the sun, should be covered in PV panels.

Skin is rather tough to rip with a blunt tool so yeah, maybe the head was disconnected from the spine immediately, making him look like a giraffe spinning at 12 RPM round and round.
zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.comto Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Long Island man wearing 9kg-metal necklace dies after being sucked into MRI machineEnglish163·6 days agoSo, if the MRI spins at 12 RPM, does the dude also spin at 12 RPM?

zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.comto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Solar powered personal umbrella with battery?English4·6 days agoI actually did not, and here around, I don’t see anyone do that. I believe climate and culture are the factors influencing the popularity of using an umbrella as mobile shade.
zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.comto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Solar powered personal umbrella with battery?English7·6 days agoInteresting. It appears that it is one side effect of climate change.
Side note: PV panels try to absorb a lot of light. Parasols try to reflect it, which is why they usually have a bright color. Imagine now holding an umbrella, absorbing more energy than your skin/hair would, causing you to sweat even more?
zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.comto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Solar powered personal umbrella with battery?English2·6 days agoI think there are some test roads in the Netherlands on the bike lane. Roads are used in all weather conditions, 24/7. Umbrellas not. Roads have approximately the same energy yield as any solar panel on the roof, minus the suboptimal angle and minus the road users causing shadows.
zr0@lemmy.dbzer0.comto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Solar powered personal umbrella with battery?English82·7 days agoAnd you don’t think that carrying a 10kg umbrella is unsuitable for this type of climate, when you are already sweating with 500g?
I think it is also a cultural thing, as in asian communities brighter skin is preferred

Grow some balls and either revolt or leave the country. People thinking that publicly criticizing is enough are part of the problem.
