Attorney General Pam Bondi notified President Trump months ago that he was named in the Jeffrey Epstein files, multiple outlets reported Wednesday.
The reports come as the Trump administration faces mounting accusations that the DOJ isn’t being transparent enough about its Epstein investigations.
Bondi and deputy attorney general Todd Blanche allegedly told the president this spring that his name, as well as those of other high-profile individuals, appeared as they re-examined documents related to the case that hadn’t been made public, per the New York Times.
“Listen, will you shut the fuck up about this? We’re not done fabricating evidence to ‘prove’ Trump’s innocence yet. Here, look over here, we’re trying to get to you look at us claiming Obama fabricated evidence so you can overlook our fabrication of evidence! Obama Obama Obama! Look over here!”
Plot twist: he was named in the documents, but isn’t anymore, thanks to the assistance of her assistant Mr. Sharpie…

It’s hilarious that they didn’t plan for this.
Even “I thought I knew him but I guess not. We were at a number of events together so of course my info will be in there. The guy was social, had a lot of money, and had a lot of friends. We’ll release info” would have made this all go away quietly. They then could have released tidbits every few months and the media would have grown bored of it.
It’s such a dumb self-own they’ve put themselves into. They aren’t even good at cover-ups.
