    It is wild how much revisionist history there has been about this movie .

      I’d agree with that and I’d add people who grew up only hearing about Rambo but didn’t watch it. I grew up in the 90s so Rambo was always a violent, high energy action character in my head. I was in my teens when I finally decided to watch First Blood. It’s was an amazing movie and totally rewrote what I thought about the character of John Rambo.

      I’ve never seen any of the sequels and have no desire to.

        Yep, good point. It’s reputation is largely based off the sequels, as well.

    The Rambo and Jurassic Park movies are the perfect example of films that diminish with each new release.
