For example, I don’t like Will Ferrell in his typical roles. Oh they just drive me batty.

But. I do love Stranger Than Fiction. It’s such a cozy movie.

Mark Wahlberg is a racist that once tried to beat a Vietnamese person to death while shouting “I hate the Vietnamese” and other racist shit in the past.

Apparently he ad-libbed a lot of the weird rapey dialog he has in Flight Risk (2025), not that anyone saw it because it sucks.

I tried to watch that, but…

        Spoiler

When the plane flies through a mountain of snow, and just continues as normal, I had to shut it off. The shitty dialogue and dumb writing I could somewhat tolerate, but building up to a catastrophic turn of events, just to have the plane made out of fucking unoptanium, or adamantium or some shit is where I draw the line.

Everyone died on the plane, and the smouldering wreckage is now stuck in a pile of snow on top of a mountain. The end. Movie’s over.

I watched it purely because I heard how bad it was. It’s full of that kind of crap lol, from the air traffic guy over the radio hitting on the lead out of nowhere, to the plane nosediving for what felt like 5 mins, it’s super ridiculous. Brought to us by Mel Gibson is the funniest part of the whole thing imo.

Came here for this. Yes, not a good person in real life from what I’ve read.

Also, terrible, wooden in so many movies. And yet, perfectly played his role in The Departed. So much so that I didn’t think it could be him at first.

I hated him for this for a long time. He has since met with the victim, and the victim publicly said he forgave Wahlberg and wants him to have a second chance. To me, that’s restorative justice and I don’t think it’s my job to push for further consequences.

Jon Hamm on the other hand…

He was involved in a hazing incident in college. IIRC he [allegedly] used a coat hook to drag someone across the room by his asshole.

Edit: aside from the hazing, Jon Hamm is my answer. He plays the same arrogant douche in everything he’s in, so I get the impression it’s not just a character. Similar to comedians whose whole schtick is being a dirtbag, then they turn out to be a dirtbag.
