Regarding the Syzran Oil Refinery struck by the Defense Forces of Ukraine — there is good news.

Quoting the General Staff:

“In particular, the Syzran Oil Refinery in Samara Oblast, Russia, one of the largest in the Rosneft system, was struck. It produces a wide range of fuels, including aviation kerosene, and is involved in supplying the Russian armed forces.”

We would like to add a few words:

The key ELOU-AVT-6 unit (53.084788655, 48.39453774) was hit, and several storage tanks were significantly damaged.

AVT-6 is the primary oil distillation unit at the Syzran Refinery. It covers processes of atmospheric and vacuum distillation, as well as secondary distillation and gasoline stabilization. The design capacity is 6 million tons of oil per year.

Regarding the importance of this facility in the Rosneft system: taking it out of operation will reduce Russia’s ability to supply fuel to its armed forces and has already affected the civilian population. According to our information, immediately after the attack, some gas stations in the region limited gasoline sales.

We separately note the ineffectiveness of the anti-drone nets stretched over the units. Keep up the good work.

The work continues. Support the Defense Forces.

As of now, the plant has ceased operations.

Just outrageous how Ukraine has basically changed the entire world in self defense. Every military is watching them innovate and trying to catch up.

That coordinated remote attack a couple months ago against parked bombers has got to be a huge wake-up call that’s giving military leaders around the world nightmares. I can’t wait to see what way-outside-the-box tactic they dream up next.
