Can you clear a straight line of malfunctioning pixels on a phone with a lighter?

Accidentally thwapped my phone. It now has a line of white pixels in the middle that came up some time after thwapping. Heard this can be cleared with a lighter flame to the bottom. Is this true?

I doubt it. Maybe, but the chances of damaging it further are much higher.
