Funny enough, I only just read a short article on Assyria a few days ago. Truly walking in the footsteps of King Arthur here
Just answer ‘Constantinopolis’. It must have been true at some point.
Schrödinger’s capital.
This community is awesome, this deserves more views, very cool content! Thanks for making it!
I love this comm. I really wish Lemmy had an equivalent of AskHistorians on reddit though. That was probably the highest quality sub on that site imo.
Edit: also just had an idea for a comm: AskNonHistorians
People can ask questions and they get answers full of inaccuracies and nonsense. (Obviously there would need to be strict rules against genocide denial and other forms of shitbaggery)
I’m but a humble scavenger of the memes of other, more industrious folk, but thank you all the same! 🙏
“He is the PugMessiah!”
Now you listen here! He’s not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy! Now go away!
The secret is that you really don’t have to know anything to make a meme, because the people who don’t know the subject outnumber the ones who do, and will accept anything on a meme as long as it’s amusing and doesn’t contradict any of their politics. In this case the obvious implication is that Assyria had different capitals, but for all I know (along with most people) those years could just be random numbers.
I love this movie
For anyone new here & wants to know which movie this is; it’s called Monty Python
and the Holy Grail
One of my favs
I recently went to google the name of the last capital of Western Rome, and the autocomplete was “what was the last capital of Assyria?”
Is it okay to pitty the people who downvoted this?
I think so yes
have you have you heard about our savior Jesus Christ? 😉
Comma splice.
I love the community
