I think term limits are definitely reasonable, regardless of age. We don’t need one person in a specific government role indefinitely.

Age limits, I’m kind of inclined to agree that would be hard to pin down. Frankly 73 is a bit young in my experience to be as far gone as John Kennedy seemed to be. Certainly it drops off and drops off suddenly at some point for people, but you do have people into their 90s with their cognition intact. Bernie Sanders is in his 80s and he seems mentally still there.

I’ve known people in that age that are mentally intact. There’s been a few celebrities that seem intact even into their 90s like Dick Van Dyke or Betty White. There was a guy at worked I only communicated with by text and assumed he was my age as we worked on an issue. Turned out he was 84. It was announced that he was leaving and I assumed he was going to retire, but no, he got a job elsewhere for a raise…

Certainly that video featured a man far more deteriorated than most anyone I’ve known in their 70s.

If it were only about activities with other shouldn’t be of age people, then it makes no sense. Either they are allowed and it’s legal or it’s illegal for both of them but neither can be considered criminally responsible because neither can legally consent either.

There are stories constantly about someone older having relations with someone way too young but the jurisdiction has age of consent to make it ok.

LLMs don’t just regurgitate training data, it’s a blend of the material used in the training material. So even if you did somehow assure that every bit of content that was fed in was in and of itself completely objectively true and factual, an LLM is still going to blend it together in ways that would no longer be true and factual.

So either it’s nothing but a parrot/search engine and only regurgitates input data or it’s an LLM that can do the full manipulation of the representative content and it can provide incorrect responses from purely factual and truthful training fodder.

Of course we have “real” LLM, LLM is by definition real LLM, and I actually had no problem with things like LLM or GPT, as they were technical concepts with specific meaning that didn’t have to imply. But the swell of marketing meant to emphasize the more vague ‘AI’, or the ‘AGI’ (AI, but you now, we mean it) and ‘reasoning’ and ‘chain of thought’. Having real AGI or reasoning is something that can be discussed with uncertainty, but LLMs are real, whatever they are.

But they do have authority over government procurement, and this order even explicitly mentions that this is about government procurement.

Of course, if you make life simple by using the same offering for government and private customers, then you bring down your costs and you appease the conservatives even better.

I broadly agree, but not sure I see a short term way back to winning as “normal again”, the “crazies” induced the vast majority of the party to be sycophants to the crazy, and this hopefully alienated some moderates. Not sure who they might break out for 2028 if they do have an actual free election, but I could see them in a tough strategic spot trying to claim being moderate with the behavior of the party since 2016 and particularly since Trump’s loss in 2020.

To be fair, referring to someone as Zionist has long been a dog whistle to certain hateful groups. When used precisely it does not include most Jewish folks but it was commonly not used precisely. Chances have elevated in recent events that someone is accurately using the word, but even then seeing their long used lingo echoed now using the correct meaning has seemingly vindicated their long held belief.

Sy far the only ones I’ve seen are scenarios where I have to upload photo to match my appearance when I show up in person to something, so it’s not useful in that context, but I’m suspecting this scenario is similar.
