I fully agree, they should support FOSS projects on all fronts, not just the code itself (though the code is the most important part).

AGPL is like GPL, but it also makes sure the source code of programs used via a network is available to the user.

Example: company provides a cloud service. The user uses that service via the internet. If the license of the service is GPL, the company doesn’t have to give the user the source code, but with the AGPL they do.

I don’t think they should limit themselves to just GPL. There are some other good (or even better) licenses out there, such as AGPL (I use this one on all my projects), MIT and so on.

But let’s ignore that for a bit. The problem with the USA’s democracy is that they use a FPTP system. Which means there are basically only two parties, voting for 3rd parties is throwing your vote away because they don’t stand a chance. USAeans are basically forced to vote for the democrats, because the alternative is much worse. And voting for 3rd parties would be kinda like not voting at all.

The USA really needs an overhaul of its voting system, ranked choice voting is a lot better than fptp.

Jill stein, for example, got 0.56% of votes. The dems would’ve had a better chance at winning if people hadn’t voted for a party that doesn’t stand a chance.
