its easier to rule world that is in ruins than thriving one. They know they have to live on same planet as us yet still they dont seem to care if its going to shit. While so many rich people are dumb as bricks and dont deserve their wealth at all, there are also many who actually know what they are doing yet still they dont want to seriously work towards stopping the climate change, even though it wouldnt even reduce their wealth by that much in comparison.

So only reasoning i can think of they want to have more complete control over everything, but they cant have it because world is too complicated and healthy. When civilizations start to fall, the rich will still have everything and with that they can start enforcing themselves on everyone.

I dont have anything to base this on, its just my thought on the matter. It just feels like something billionaire would do, they demonstrate every day that they will not be content with anything and will not care about other people’s suffering to get it.

Even if taiwans technology manufacturing gets destroyed in the invasion, it’s still major part of western world’s component infrastructure. They can also just rebuild. China gaining control over that or even just denying it to west would make china internationally more powerful no matter how it goes.

its so annoying when any decent alternative costs money, which isnt very good thing for my “official” email which i need for important things. Considering how morally bankrupt humanity still is, this is terrifying possible technology. Imagine people being condemned to “hell” or broken, copied and used as enslaved mind for some robot shell. (I know it still couldnt do anything to you personally, just make copy of you.)

Its understandable though. Even though its also understandable the company would want to know where the trucks are, its also telling the drivers that they dont really trust them to do their job without surveillance. It should be enough that the freight gets delivered within agreed time and not too much fuel is used up in the process.

Personally i would compare the gps to office having sensors that record constantly which room you are occupying. With the ai its like having a camera constantly monitor exactly what are you doing at every given moment. And if you do anything company doesn’t like you will be punished. Not only is it insulting, its exhausting having to ceaselessly consider is everything you are doing acceptable to whatever sensible or insensible rules the corporate executives have decided.

People who want to be truckers most likely are kind of people who like working by themselves and not having to answer for every single thing they do at every moment and now even that is being taken away from them.
